Planet Endangered

Have you ever listened to discussions and read articles about global warming and wondered why the resource person or writer is in strong and urgent in its appeal to fight it? Well, that's because global warming is an urgent problem that requires immediate action and resolution before it gets worse and that could mean the end of human life and civilization as we see today.
Broadly speaking, global warming is the steady increase of the atmosphere and the average temperature of the ocean. And before you go saying "Big deal" himself and make fun of in the near catastrophic predictions made by scientists and lawyers, consider first some of the expected effects of global warming on our environment and our own lives.
One of the most pronounced effects of global warming would be glacial retreat in the glaciers in the Arctic is melting steadily. This results in elevation sea levels worldwide, increasing concern about disappearance of small islands and even countries. Global warming is also attributed to the influence of precipitation, leading to the possibility of increased flooding in parts of the world, and increased drought elsewhere. What's scary about these planned changes is the total inability of man to counteract and prevent that once these events begin to happen.
But on the other hand, the effects of global warming is not manifested only in the environment. Consider the effect of drought and floods increased food supply, and ultimately food intake. Agriculture sector is expected to bear much the worst of the worst of global warming, with the lowest and lower crop production and is expected to be harvested in the next decade or more. Now that is really scary, considering all got a lot of our food supply from farms.
Weather experts are also the prediction of extreme weather events due to global warming, ranging from severe snowstorms intensity of cyclones and hurricanes in the tropics.
The increase in average temperature of the oceans of our planet, it also means a decrease in the supply of our source of other food. The rest of the world could not come to realize how fragile that most marine organisms are and expected changes in temperature could cause extinction most of them. Carbon dioxide, the main culprit of global warming are also expected to acidify the ocean, causing more extinction and disruption of the food chain.
It is also worth considering the impact of global warming on human health as well. With increasing surface temperature, heat waves are expected to occur more frequently, possibly endangering children and the elderly. Many pathogens proliferate much faster in the hot environment. The increase in atmospheric temperature could well mean more rapid proliferation of these pathogens causing many diseases and diseases to humans. There is also expected spread of the deadly tropical diseases as the world gets hotter and hotter, placing people living in temperate regions at higher risk.
The risks and dangers listed are only an overview of the complexity and seriousness of the problem is global warming. A large amount of resources and references have been published and produced on the subject and it's time to sit and people should make an effort to learn more. With knowledge and understanding, combating global warming no longer seem overwhelming and insurmountable. And as cliche as it sounds, this is a fight no one can win alone, a concerted effort is certainly needed and the cooperation of all sectors would be most welcome.
